What might make my divorce take longer?

Sifting through the financial end of divorce can often take several months on its own. Particularly if you are looking at a high asset divorce with multiple incomes, stock options, debts, business ownership or other divisible assets you may need the help of a financial professional.

Additionally, if there are children involved in the divorce you will need to do a lot of work with your ex-spouse to come up with a parenting plan. It is highly likely that you will end up in a co-parenting situation, which means a lot of negotiating and compromise.
